KYIV, Jan 20 (Bernama-dpa) -- President Volodymyr Zelensky has made his attendance at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos contingent on sealing contracts or securing aid pledges for Ukraine, the German Press Agency (dpa) reported.
"If the documents are ready, then there will be a meeting (with US President Donald Trump) and a trip," Zelensky told journalists, according to Ukrainian media reports on Tuesday.
He would also make the journey to the Swiss alpine resort if there were pledges of further support for Ukraine's power sector or of additional air defence systems, Zelensky said.
"But thus far, I have a task here in Ukraine, and for me it is essential to coordinate all services here," he added.
Kyiv is hoping for security guarantees and funds for economic reconstruction under a US-led peace plan to end the war with Russia, but talks on the plan remained deadlocked.
