MAKKAH, Jan 19 (Bernama-SPA) -- The Muslim World League (MWL) has welcomed the ceasefire agreement and the integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces, including all their civil and military institutions, into the Syrian state, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
In a statement, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organisation of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr Mohammed Al-Issa reaffirmed the organisation's solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic, its government, and people against threats to their security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
He emphasised the league's support for the Syrian government's efforts to protect the rights and resources of the Syrian people, maintain civil peace, and enforce the rule of law throughout the country.
