MYANMAR

 

1.PHASE 1 ELECTIONS CONCLUDE -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

The country's Phase I elections were held yesterday in 102 townships across regions and states. Voters cast their votes using the electronic voting machine and free transportation, medical services and security measures were put in place.

 

2.RICE EXPORTS GENERATE RM4 BILLION -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

Myanmar earned about RM4 billion (US$1 billion) in revenue from rice exports this year. Eighty per cent of the rice produced is for the local market, while the remaining twenty per cent is exported.

1.EXTRA PASSENGER CAPACITY DURING NEW YEAR -- VIETNAMPLUS

Vietnam Railways will add 20,000 seats during the New Year holiday from January 1 to 4. The additional capacity is to ensure safe and convenient travel for passengers during the peak season.

 

2. VIETNAM AIRLINES WILL DEPLOY 270 HOLIDAY FLIGHTS - -VIETNAMPLUS

National flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, will operate nearly 270 additional flights on key domestic routes during the New Year holiday. It will add about 45,000 seats on high-demand routes.
