HANOI, Oct 23 (Bernama-VNA/VNS) -- Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính will lead a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to attend the 47th ASEAN Summit and related summits in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from Oct 26 to 28, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported.
His participation comes at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Chair of ASEAN 2025, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from Oct 26 to 28.
More than 30 heads of state and government are expected to convene in the federal capital to discuss regional peace, economic resilience and inclusive growth under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2025, themed “Inclusivity and Sustainability”.
A total of 2,854 media personnel from 290 agencies have registered to cover the historic event, which will also mark the formal admission of Timor-Leste as ASEAN’s 11th member, symbolising Southeast Asia’s unity and continued expansion.
