BUTTERWORTH, Sept 14 (Bernama) -- The full dress rehearsal for the Malaysia Day 2025 celebration at the PICCA Convention Centre @ Butterworth Arena tonight went smoothly.

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said he was satisfied with the overall preparations for the event, which will take place this Tuesday.

“Alhamdulillah, my team and I have witnessed the full dress rehearsal for the Malaysia Day celebration.

“I’m satisfied with the preparations and I have requested a few minor adjustments, but nothing significant,” he told reporters after the rehearsal.

Also present were Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa and Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) chief executive officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin.

Fahmi, who chairs the National Day and Malaysia Day 2025 Main Committee, expressed confidence that Malaysians would be treated to a memorable showcase on the celebration night.

Various activities have also been lined up throughout the day, including exhibition booths, Rahmah Sales counters and programmes for visitors, while a fireworks display will take place after the main performance.

“Therefore, I urge the public to come out in full support to enliven the Malaysia Day celebration, which will be hosted in Penang for the first time,” he said.
