SUNGAI PETANI, Sept 13 (Bernama) -- A man is on remand for six days from today to assist the police investigation of a woman and a mobile phone dealer found stabbed to death in an incident in Taman Nona, Guar Chempedak in Yan.
The remand order against the 29-year-old suspect was issued by Magistrate Noor Fazlina Musa.
The investigation is conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
According to Yan police chief Supt Mohamad Hamizi Abdullah, the man was arrested in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu, at 9.45 am yesterday.
Previously, it was reported that the victims were found with several stab wounds to their bodies in Taman Nona in Guar Chempedak at 9.40 pm yesterday.
The mobile phone dealer, a man, was found lying face down on the road in front of a house, while the woman was found in a Proton Wira car. The two victims, aged 30 and 28, were said to have been attacked by a man who was related to the female victim, using a sharp weapon.
