ALOR SETAR, Sept 2 (Bernama) -- About 25,000 people are expected to attend the MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) in Kedah from Thursday to Saturday at the Baling District Council Sports Complex.
The event, led by the Home Ministry (KDN) with the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU) and Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) of the Prime Minister’s Department, will feature government services and public activities.
Home Ministry Strategic Planning Division secretary Ainah Mohd Soon said activities include security agency assets exhibitions, enforcement demonstrations, border pass applications, passport renewals, MyKad replacements and a 50 percent discount on traffic summonses.
“Highlights also include product sales by the Malaysian Prisons Department (MyPride), the ‘Jom Exchange Al-Qur’an’ (JEQ) programme, as well as an exhibition by the Sexual, Women and Children Investigation Division,” she told Bernama recently.
Ainah said the programme will host mobile services by the National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK), along with a religious forum and selawat segment in conjunction with the upcoming Maulidur Rasul.
She said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to officiate the programme on Saturday, which will also feature a special demonstration by the Royal Malaysia Police, and urged the public to attend the three-day programme to access government services and activities.
KDN added in a Facebook post that services at its pavilion will include the JPN MEKAR mobile bus, Volunteer Smartphone Patrol (VSP) registration, e-ROSES advisory services and RELA MADANI community programmes.
