KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 2 (Bernama) -- A total of 175 participants comprising junior, amputee and female football players attended a training session of the Harimau Malaya squad led by Peter Cklamovski at Bukit Jalil National Stadium yesterday.
The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) in a post on its official Facebook page announced that the programme, called 'Semua Turun Padang! Wanita, Junior dan Amputee Bersama Harimau Malaya which was the brainchild of Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MBS) and the governing body.
According to the post, the participants consisted of the national Under-20 (B20) women's football squad, Mokhtar Dahari Academy (AMD) coaches, an amputee team and the Kepong FC B8 youth team that won the 2025 Iber Cup.
"At the programme, the participants were able to mingle with the Harimau Malaya coaching staff and players. In fact, they also had the opportunity to ask any questions to Cklamovski and several players such as Arif Aiman Hanapi, Faisal Halim, Shahrul Saad, Ahmad Syihan Hazmi Mohamed, Azri Ghani, Dion Cools, Jon Irazabal, Paulo Josue and new Harimau Malaya star, Joao Figueiredo.
"For the participants, the opportunity for a 'face to face' session with the Harimau Malaya squad was not only a new experience, but more than that it was considered a very special moment," according to the post.
The programme was attended by FAM acting president, Datuk Wira Mohd Yusoff Haji Mahadi and KBS deputy secretary-general (strategy), Chan Hong Jin.
