NILAI, Aug 2 (Bernama) -- The Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) team is optimistic about making a comeback with a new spirit, building confidence, and a determination to shed the perception of being a pushover team in this season's Super League, through a lineup of more quality and competitive players.

NSFC Chairman and Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, said he is confident that the team, guided by Head Coach Nidzam Jamil, can provide a tough challenge to any team in this season's Super League competition.

"I am confident that with competent leadership, the team's performance this time will be stronger and more consistent, making them a contender in this season's Super League.

"Although the target has not yet been set, we are sure that this time, the team will no longer be a pushover," he told reporters after officiating the NSFC Jersey Launch and Player Introduction Ceremony that was also attended by the Tunku Besar Tampin and President of the Negeri Sembilan Football Association (PBNS), Tunku Syed Razman Tunku Syed Idrus Al-Qadri, here today.

In addition, Aminuddin said that incentives for the team will be considered if the players show positive and professional performance and a high commitment to the team.

Aminuddin said the team's current financial position was in good shape, similar to last season, and he is satisfied that the management was carrying out its responsibilities efficiently without any financial problems.

"We will ensure that this support continues and the players are not burdened. I am confident that the team's management will be well-handled until the end of the season," he said.

Meanwhile, Aminuddin said the design of this season's jersey carries the identity of Negeri Sembilan, combining elements of heritage, bravery, and new hope.

This season's 'Home' kit maintains the traditional state colors of red, yellow, and black, and the design is decorated with the iconic typography 'Ini Paroi Jangan Main' on the jersey collar, referring to the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Paroi Stadium.

The 'Bunga Lada' (Pepper Flower) pattern, which is the official flower of the state, is also featured as a cultural element to strengthen the team's identity, while the 'Away' kit carries a message of appreciation to loyal supporters with the typography 'Sekalian Yang Setia' (To All Who Are Loyal), completed with yellow, black, and red details.

Meanwhile, Tunku Syed Razman called on all parties to unite for the resurgence of the state's football, adding that through strategic planning and a spirit of teamwork, NSFC can achieve more glorious success this season.

"This state team has a proud history of glory; we have lifted trophies, conquered opponents' stadiums, and become a feared team. It is time for the team to rise again," he said.

The ceremony also introduced new players such as Luqman Hakim Shamsuddin, Muhammad Azri Abdul Ghani, and Ahmad Khuzaimi Piee (captain), while retaining Muhammad Harith Samsuri, A. Selvan, and import player Takumi Sasaki (Japan).
