KUANTAN, June 24 (Bernama) -- The Pahang government has launched the Pahang State Economic Master Plan 2025-2030 (PET30) for a comprehensive economic transformation based on the strength of the state’s resources, current global market realities and the people’s aspirations.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said PET30 is built on three key pillars, namely people’s well-being, environmental responsibility and economic growth driven by the private sector.
He said the master plan will also continue to ensure a balanced development between urban and rural areas, Felda settlements, Orang Asli villages and remote communities, with priority given to access to clean water, quality education, comfortable housing and digital connectivity.
He added that the Pahang State Economic Advisory Council (MPEN), headed by Tan Sri Nazir Razak, played a crucial role in shaping the implementation direction of PET30.
“The success of PET30 cannot depend on policy documents alone. It must be translated into tangible actions, with strict monitoring, KPI (key performance indicators)-based performance and cross-agency synergy.
“I urge all parties to make 2025 to 2030 an era of implementation, not just planning. We must step out of our comfort zone, act swiftly and responsibly as architects of a more prosperous future for Pahang,” he said in a statement today.
