LABUAN, June 24 -- A workers’ quarters in Merinding Garden here was destroyed in an early morning fire today, but no casualties were reported.
Labuan Fire and Rescue Department director Abdul Rahman Ali said the 3 am blaze destroyed eight rooms and a Honda motorcycle.
He said the fire spread rapidly and quickly engulfed the whole wooden structure.
“Our team responded promptly and managed to extinguish the fire by 4 am,” he said.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
