THAILAND'S BHUMJAITHAI WITHDRAW FROM GOVERNMENT COALITION, ALL 8 MINISTERS RESIGN

19/06/2025 12:33 AM

BANGKOK, June 18 (Bernama) -- Thailand’s Bhumjaithai party, the second largest party in the ruling coalition, has announced its withdrawal from the government, Thai News Agency (TNA) reported, citing the party said in a statement on Wednesday night.

All eight of its ministers have submitted their resignations, effective June 19.

The statement cited Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra’s leaked phone call with Cambodia’s Hun Sen in the ongoing border dispute, in which she blamed her own military for “miscommunication”, as the “damaging” conduct that was the last straw, according to TNA.
