KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 (Bernama) -- Boustead Holdings Berhad (BHB) has strengthened its ties with the community through its 'Korban Kasih 2026' corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme held in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha, and support from its operating company, Royale Chulan Hotels & Resorts.

In a statement today, BHB announced that the programme, now in its second edition, was held at Royale Chulan Damansara (RCD) on the second day of Aidiladha and at Royale Chulan Cherating (RCC) on the fourth day of Aidiladha, involving employees, management, local communities, and korban (sacrificial ritual) participants.

A total of 15 cattle were sacrificed at RCD, while another three cattle were sacrificed at RCC and the sacrificial meat was distributed to the needy and surrounding communities, complemented by a special feast prepared through a gotong-royong activity with the local community.

BHB Group Managing Director Datuk Dr. Ahmad Sabirin Arshad said that the programme reflects the noble values consistently embedded within the company's organisational culture.

"This korban ritual does not merely fulfill a religious obligation; it reflects the values of togetherness, sincerity, and the spirit of gotong-royong that have always been at the core of BHB's culture.

"May this executed korban ritual be accepted by Allah SWT, and continue to foster closer ties, reinforce compassionate values, and sow the spirit of unity among Boustead Group employees and the local community," he said.

He added that choosing RCD and RCC as locations carried its own special meaning, as both hotels are part of the Boustead ecosystem, which consistently serves as a space for gatherings, unification, and community service.

Meanwhile, Boustead Hotels & Resorts Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer Datuk Rosthman Ibrahim said the Korban Kasih programme reflects the hotel's ongoing commitment to engaging with society through initiatives that offer direct benefits.

"As part of the Boustead Group, Royale Chulan Hotels & Resorts is very honored to co-organise and ensure the success of this programme.

"Korban Kasih not only strengthens relations among employees and the community, but also serves as a platform for us to share our blessings and instill the humanitarian values that our organisation holds dear," he said.

According to the statement, Korban Kasih 2026 reflects BHB's continuous commitment to executing CSR initiatives that yield a positive impact on society, while strengthening the values of unity and compassion among its workforce and the community.
