MAIPk Allocates RM9.6 Million For Asnaf Skills Development

IPOH, May 26 (Bernama) -- The Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Custom Council (MAIPk) has allocated RM9.6 million for the implementation of the Asnaf Skills Training Programme 2026, targeting the participation of 919 individuals as part of efforts to strengthen the group’s human capital development.

MAIPk said the signing ceremony for the agreement with the programme’s training providers was officiated by the agency’s chief executive officer Syamsul Hazeman Md Salleh, yesterday.

The strategic collaboration between MAIPk and the training providers aims to strengthen the development of asnaf (zakat recipients) human capital through quality education and competitive skills training aligned with current industry needs.

“The agreement signing session involved three training providers, namely SRC Resources Sdn Bhd, Kulim Advanced Technologies Sdn Bhd and Akademi Binaan Malaysia Wilayah Utara,” MAIPk said in a statement.

“In addition, the ceremony also saw the presentation of letters of appointment to 10 training providers, namely Vocational Education Training Academy, IJN University College, UCSI Hospital, UOA Academy, Vision University College, NIATS Oil, Gas and Marine Academy, AMKTC Academy, Haaza Centre of Excellence, High Skill Technology Sdn Bhd and Sri Ayu Technical College,” it said.

The collaboration is also expected to create greater opportunities for the asnaf group to enhance their skills, generate income, and build a better, more sustainable and prosperous future.
