KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 (Bernama) -- The Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026 is targeting about 200,000 visitors this year as it expands beyond a traditional automotive exhibition into a broader mobility, technology and lifestyle showcase.

Organised by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) and managed by Qube Integrated, the 11th edition of KLIMS will be held from June 12 to 21 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

MAA president Mohd Shamsor Mohd Zain said KLIMS has long established itself as Malaysia’s premier automotive showcase and continues to reflect where the industry is heading, not just where it is today.

“The theme ‘Beyond Mobility’ reflects our vision of an industry that is not only transforming how we move, but also how we live, connect, and shape a smarter, more sustainable future,” he said at the KLIMS Media Updates Session here today.

Qube Integrated Sdn Bhd managing director Richard Teo said KLIMS 2026 will build on the strong response to the 2024 edition, which attracted more than 183,000 visitors, with higher expectations for this year’s show.

“For KLIMS 2026, we are taking things to a whole new level, with longer show days, more activities and many more experiences throughout the 10-day event,” he said, adding that the show will bring together automotive culture, technology, entertainment and lifestyle in one place.

Meanwhile, KLIMS assistant show director Koh Tsi-En said the event will feature a comprehensive line-up of automotive and mobility showcases, including participation from established and new car brands, alongside aftermarket exhibitors and technology providers.

“KLIMS continues to strengthen its position as Malaysia’s premier automotive and mobility showcase, bringing together the latest innovations in electrification and smart mobility solutions.

“We also have the car club gathering, featuring more than 200 cars and, of course, the test drive sessions. This year, we have a total of over 60 cars that are available for test drive,” she said.

Koh added that KLIMS 2026 will also incorporate lifestyle and entertainment elements to enhance visitor engagement, including the debut of the Urban Play obstacle course, DJ Playground competitions and performances, pocket talk sessions with industry experts, concept car and technology showcases, as well as immersive race and flight simulator experiences.

She said the event will also feature motorsports activations in collaboration with Sepang International Circuit, remote control car tracks, the Pokemon Pokopia Truck, and Riuh at KLIMS, which will include celebrity performances.

“These attractions are designed to enhance visitor engagement through hands-on experiences, while showcasing the connection between mobility, technology and entertainment that is shaping today’s industry,” she said.

KLIMS 2026 will span close to 30,000 square metres of gross exhibition space across seven halls at MITEC.

Confirmed participating automotive brands include Dongfeng, GWM, Honda, Hyundai, Jetour, Kia, Maxus, Mazda, MG Motor, Nissan, Perodua, Proton, Proton e.MAS, smart, Toyota, Wuling, XPENG and Zeekr.

The show, supported by strategic partners Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority, is recognised under the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau’s Meet in Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia’s Visit Malaysia 2026 campaigns.
