KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), an agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), is again representing Malaysia at IMEX Frankfurt 2026, reinforcing the country’s position as a premier destination for global business events.

MyCEB said in a statement today that the international trade show is being held from May 19 to 21 at Messe Frankfurt in Germany.

“Recognised as one of the world’s leading platforms for the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) industry, IMEX Frankfurt brings together destinations, convention bureaus, venues, hotels and service providers from across the globe,” it said.

MyCEB added that the 2026 edition is expected to feature more than 3,000 global exhibitors and over 12,000 industry professionals, including about 4,000 hosted buyers from more than 150 countries.

“MyCEB’s continued participation underscores its commitment in positioning Malaysia as a competitive and preferred business events destination in Asia.

“Since its inaugural participation in 2011, MyCEB has consistently leveraged this platform to engage with international buyers, strengthen industry partnerships and showcase Malaysia’s evolving capabilities in hosting world-class events,” according to the statement.

Meanwhile, MyCEB chief executive officer Tan Mei Phing said IMEX Frankfurt 2026 provides a strategic platform for the bureau to engage directly with the global business events community, strengthen existing relationships and explore new opportunities for Malaysia.

The statement added that visitors to the Malaysia Pavilion will experience a series of curated, high-impact engagements designed to showcase Malaysia’s diverse offerings and capabilities.

“These include the official launch of the Malaysia Pavilion, marking the commencement of Malaysia’s participation at IMEX Frankfurt 2026.

“The pavilion will also feature the appearance of the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) sun bear mascots, Wira and Manja, offering an introduction to upcoming national tourism initiatives,” it said.

MyCEB also said a dedicated networking reception will be organised to provide international buyers and partners with an opportunity to connect with the Malaysian delegation.

Throughout the three-day exhibition, MyCEB will conduct a series of business matching sessions with international buyers to explore potential collaborations and secure future events for Malaysia.

These engagements will provide valuable opportunities for stakeholders to gain deeper insights into Malaysia’s infrastructure, diverse venues and proven track record in hosting international business events.

Through strategic participation in global platforms such as IMEX Frankfurt, MyCEB continues to enhance Malaysia’s international visibility while supporting the sustainable growth of the nation’s business events industry.
