MOSCOW, May 17 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- More than 50 aircraft have been diverted to alternate airfields due to restrictions at Moscow's airport hub, the Russian Transport Ministry said on Sunday, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
"Last night and early this morning, 51 aircraft were diverted to alternate airfields due to temporarily imposed airspace restrictions," the ministry's statement read.
All airports are now operating normally, receiving and dispatching flights. Civil aviation operations in the Moscow region are under special monitoring by the Transport Ministry and Rosaviation, the ministry added.
