MOSCOW, May 19 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- Russia is receiving numerous requests for oil sales, primarily from Asian countries, Dmitry Birichevsky, the director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's economic cooperation department, told RIA Novosti.
"Russian oil is in great demand. We are receiving numerous requests for oil sales, primarily from Asian countries. They are heavily dependent on Middle Eastern crude and are experiencing difficulties," he said in an interview with the agency.
Countries are "reaching out, engaging in dialogue, agreeing on prices and delivery dates," the diplomat explained.
