Several States, Labuan On Alert For Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain Until 4pm

KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds expected to affect several areas in Perak, Pahang, Johor, Sabah and Labuan until 4 pm today.

The weather conditions are expected to affect almost all districts in Perak, including Kerian, Larut, Matang dan Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak and Batang Padang.

In Pahang, the warning was issued for Rompin, while in Johor, it covers Batu Pahat, Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru.

Meanwhile in Sabah, thunderstorms are expected to affect the interior (Tambunan), the West Coast and Tawau, as well as the whole of Labuan.
