LOS ANGELES, April 28 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- A batch of 29 satellites of Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network was sent into orbit on Monday aboard a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket, Xinhua reported.

The rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in the United States (US) state of Florida at 8.53 pm Eastern Time (0053 GMT on Tuesday).

ULA later confirmed the successful deployment of the satellites into low Earth orbit.

The mission is part of Amazon's broader plan to deploy a constellation of more than 3,200 satellites in low Earth orbit to provide high-speed, low-latency internet services to customers and communities worldwide.
