KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today expressed deep appreciation for the sacrifices and service of all Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) personnel in safeguarding the nation’s waters.
In conjunction with the RMN's 92nd anniversary celebration today, he described the force as national heroes who remain ever ready to defend the country’s maritime security and sovereignty.
Ahmad Zahid said the dedication, discipline and fighting spirit shown by every RMN officer and personnel continued to be a source of pride for Malaysians.
"Happy 92nd Anniversary. May the RMN continue to be a credible and respected naval force, always ready to defend the sovereignty of the nation, InsyaAllah," he said in a Facebook post today.
Meanwhile, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir today described the sacrifices and service of Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) personnel in safeguarding national security as invaluable to the people and the country.
He said RMN personnel had remained steadfast in defending the nation’s maritime sovereignty with courage, discipline and a strong spirit of patriotism.
"May the RMN continue to stand proud as the nation’s maritime defence force, remain resilient in facing challenges and be blessed in every responsibility entrusted to it.
"Thank you for your service and sacrifices for the peace and sovereignty of Malaysia," he said in a Facebook post in conjunction with the force’s 92nd anniversary celebration.
