PUTRAJAYA, April 19 (Bernama) -- The National Unity Ministry (KPN), through the National Library of Malaysia (PNM), continues to enhance its role in preserving national heritage through the development of MyRepositori, a digital repository that centralises high-value collections for public access.

The ministry said MyRepositori is a national strategic initiative to ensure Malaysia’s intellectual, historical and cultural heritage is preserved, digitised and made accessible without barriers to all segments of society.

“To date, the platform has recorded more than 55,000 digital titles comprising National Collections, Special Collections, Malay Manuscript Collections and Microfilm Collections (newspapers),” it said in a statement today.

Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said the collections are a highly valuable national asset as they reflect Malaysia’s identity, history and civilisation, and must be preserved and passed on to future generations.

“In today’s rapidly evolving digital era, access to authentic and quality information is a key foundation in building a knowledgeable, competitive and united society.

“In this regard, MyRepositori serves as a catalyst for such transformation by providing a comprehensive and reliable reference platform for the public,” he said, adding that ministry remains committed to strengthening digitisation efforts to ensure the nation’s intellectual heritage remains relevant and sustainable.

The public can explore the digital heritage collection via https://myrepositori.pnm.gov.my.
