Chief Secretary Extends Aid To Students Affected By Bachok School Fire

BACHOK, April 18 (Bernama) -- Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar today presented contributions to students and representatives of Sekolah Menengah Ugama (A) Darul Ulum Al-Muhammadiah here who were affected by a fire on April 12.

He arrived at about 3 pm and spent nearly 30 minutes engaging with the students and inspecting the three school blocks damaged by the fire.

Each student received RM250 in assistance to help ease their burden, as well as moral support in the aftermath of the incident.

Bachok Fire and Rescue Station operations supervisor Mohd Khairul Fais Ariffin was reported as saying that the blaze involved permanent structures of varying sizes, with one of the buildings almost completely destroyed.
