KUALA LUMPUR,  April 1 (Bernama) -- Peninsula College Malaysia has been recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) after securing two national records for the Biggest Campus-in-Industry and Biggest Logistics College.

In a statement today, the college said the recognition reflects its distinctive Campus-in-Industry concept, which integrates academic learning within a real industrial environment to better prepare students for the workforce.

“The approach is implemented through its Jom! Bekerja Sambil Belajar (JBSB) programme, allowing students to gain hands-on industry experience while completing their studies,” read the statement.

The college also recorded a 100 per cent graduate employability rate based on the Ministry of Higher Education’s Graduate Tracer Study.

Established in 2008 as a corporate social responsibility initiative by PKT Logistics Group, the college operates campuses in Shah Alam and Batu Kawan designed to mirror real-world logistics operations.

PKT Logistics Group group chief executive and managing director Michael Tio said the college was set up to address the shortage of logistics talent in Malaysia.

“As Malaysia moves towards becoming an ASEAN logistics hub, we saw a gap in industry-ready graduates and responded by building a learning environment within the industry itself, ensuring relevance and practical exposure,” he also said.

He added that the recognition reflects the group’s commitment to equipping students with real-world skills and knowledge.

Meanwhile, Peninsula Higher Education group president Tung Chee Kuan said close collaboration with industry partners and advisory panels ensures programmes remain aligned with evolving industry requirements.

“This recognition affirms the strength of our industry-academia collaboration and its impact on graduate outcomes and the wider logistics ecosystem,” he said.
