KUWAIT, March 15 (Bernama-BNA) -- Kuwait’s air defences shot down five hostile unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) within areas under their jurisdiction early Sunday, Kuwait National Guard (KNG) Spokesperson Brigadier Jadaan Fadhel said, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
In a press statement, Fadhel said the action comes as part of the continuous efforts of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces to protect national security and safeguard vital facilities against potential threats, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
He affirmed that the KNG, in cooperation with the police forces and the Kuwait Fire Force, maintains the highest levels of readiness to protect national security and stability.
Fadhel also urged the public to follow safety instructions issued by the competent authorities and to cooperate with military and police forces in preserving security and stability.
