KUALA LUMPUR, March 10 (Bernama) -- Celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri for the first time as a wife holds special meaning for singer, actress and entrepreneur Amira Othman, inspiring her to produce a new Raya song titled ‘Bincang Raya’, performed together with her younger brother Irfan Haris.
Interestingly, the song, which was produced within a short period, has not only caught the attention of fans but has also gone viral on TikTok, with tens of thousands of videos using the track’s audio.
Amira said the idea to produce the song came about spontaneously after her husband, actor Fattah Amin, suggested that she record a Raya song with Irfan.
“It was really last-minute. When Fattah suggested that I do a Raya song with Irfan, I wondered whether we would have enough time, but thankfully everything went smoothly,” she told reporters after the song’s launch yesterday.

According to Amira, her first experience celebrating Aidilfitri as a married woman also inspired the concept of the song, which revolves around the familiar situation of married couples discussing which hometown they will visit for the festive celebration.
“In the past, I celebrated Raya in Johor. But now that I am married, my husband and I definitely have to talk about it first. This song always makes me smile whenever I hear it,” said Amira, who will be celebrating Aidilfitri in Kuala Lumpur with Fattah’s family.
She added that although the song’s lyrics are associated with married couples, she chose to retain the duet concept with her brother as a unique twist compared with the usual Raya songs.
“Many people say the song would be more suitable for a husband and wife, but we purposely wanted to do something different. Irfan often asked me when I would release a Raya song, so I thought why not do it together,” she said. The music video for the song was directed by Fattah together with Khalid Nadzri.

The single, released by Sony Music Entertainment Malaysia, was produced by Irfan alongside Haiqal Iskandar, Syazriq and Omar K, blending modern pop Raya elements with a classic touch through the use of instruments such as the flute.
Irfan, who also wrote the song, said ‘Bincang Raya’ was recorded in early February before moving on to mixing and mastering for release on digital platforms.
