Two Drones Target US Victoria Base Near Baghdad Airport: Iraqi Media

ISTANBUL, March 2 (Bernama-Anadolu) -- Two drones targeted the United States (US) Victoria base near Baghdad International Airport on Monday, Anadolu Ajansi (AA) reported, citing local media.

According to the Iraqi private satellite television channels Al-Sumaria and Al-Rasheed, one drone fell inside the special operations area, while another was intercepted by US air defences at the base.

A security source told Al-Rasheed that the logistics support centre inside Victoria base was among the targets.

No further details were immediately available.
