KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 26 (Bernama) -- ‘Festival Riuh Raya Baik-Baik’, which brings together local products and designs under one roof in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri, at Plaza Raintree in Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) here, is expected to generate more than RM1.2 million in sales.
Acting chief executive officer of MyCreative Ventures Zainol Haqim Zainol Rashid said the projection is based on a target of about 60,000 visitors over the five-day festival, organised by MyCreative Ventures with the support of the Ministry of Communications.

“This ‘Riuh’ edition carries the theme ‘Kampung Kita’ and features over 110 local brand vendors offering festive attire, accessories and a wide range of Aidilfitri essentials. It also includes 30 food and beverage operators offering a variety of culinary delights.
“The festival, which began yesterday, runs for 12 hours daily from 3 pm to 3 am, giving visitors the opportunity to shop at night in a more relaxed atmosphere,” he told Bernama.

He also encouraged the public to plan their journeys and use public transportation to get to TRX to help ensure smooth traffic flow and reduce congestion around the venue.
Zainol Haqim said a host of activities have been lined up for the festival, including creative workshops and performances by artists such as Aisha Retno, Ushera, Langkasuka, Kumpulan Couple and Ramayan.

“During the workshops, visitors can create Hari Raya greeting cards, weave ketupat casings, learn basic sewing skills and take part in various other free activities. They can also try out traditional games showcased at the festival,” he said, adding that more than 20 creative workshops will be held throughout the festival.
