BERLIN, Jan 30 (Bernama-dpa) -- Aston Martin finally gave their new Formula 1 car a run-out for the first time at the Barcelona shakedown on Thursday, German Press Agency (dpa) reported.
The team had missed the first three days of the private test due to delays, but at least made the track on Thursday, albeit with an unpainted car driven by Lance Stroll.
Williams have not made Barcelona at all and will reveal their car in next month's first official test in Bahrain. The 2026 season sees massive new chassis and engine rules.
Mercedes, meanwhile, finished their three allotted days of testing in a good mood.
"We go [to Bahrain testing] with high confidence and high hopes because, definitely, it's been good," driver Kimi Antonelli was quoted as saying by Autosport.
"Obviously, we had our issues during the shakedown, but we were able to fix them and now we can be sure that in Bahrain we can more or less hit the ground running there as well."
The two Bahrain tests are February 11 to 13 and 18 to 20. The first race of the season is in Australia on March 8.
