Public Can View Final Report On Fatal Crash Involving UPSI Students At MOT Official Website

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 23 (Bernama) -- The final report on the investigation into the fatal accident involving a tour bus carrying students of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) on Jalan Raya Timur-Barat (Jeli–Gerik) has been approved by the Cabinet and was made public since 3 pm today.

The Ministry of Transport (MOT), in a statement, said the report was uploaded on the ministry's official website. 

"The disclosure of this report reflects the MADANI Government's commitment to the principles of transparency, public accountability and continuous efforts to strengthen the level of road transport safety in the country," it said.

 At least 15 people were killed in the early morning crash which occurred in June last year, involving a bus carrying the UPSI students and a car. The bus was reported on its way to Tanjung Malim, Perak, from Jertih, Terengganu.
