NEW DELHI, Jan 21 (Bernama) -- The Indian rupee on Wednesday hit an all-time low against the US dollar as capital outflows and geopolitical uncertainties continue to put pressure on the local currency.
The rupee fell 77 paise to reach 91.74 against the dollar in intra-day trade. It closed at an all-time low of 91.73.
The rupee has declined by about two per cent this month amid turbulent global politics and heightened geopolitical tensions.
Recent dollar sales by the Reserve Bank of India have helped support the currency.
