KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 17 (Bernama) -- Scientex Bhd’s net profit increased by 11.1 per cent to RM142.91 million in the first quarter (1Q) ended Oct 31, 2025, compared with RM128.61 million in the same period last year, driven by higher revenue in packaging and property segments.
The group said its revenue also rose by 4.1 per cent to RM1.16 billion from RM1.11 billion a year ago.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing, Scientex said its packaging revenue reached RM628.5 million, and its operating profit increased to RM46.3 million.
“The improvement in operating profit was mainly driven by a favourable sales mix, as well as ongoing cost savings and operational efficiency initiatives,” it said.
Meanwhile, property revenue stood at RM526.6 million, driven by stronger sales and steady construction progress for ongoing projects, it said.
The group said that during the quarter, the division successfully launched its maiden project in Jawi, Penang and its first high-rise project at its Seremban township, Negeri Sembilan, both receiving encouraging market responses.
“Overall, more new projects were launched across the Northern, Central and Southern regions compared to the same period last year, contributing to the division’s stronger performance.
“Correspondingly, operating profit rose to RM158.0 million, compared to RM145.9 million recorded in the preceding year’s corresponding quarter,” it said.
On prospects, Scientex said the group remains committed to enhancing competitiveness and exploring new markets in the current financial year.
