KUALA TERENGGANU, July 11 (Bernama) -- The second day of the Terengganu MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2025 continued with a host of enriching activities centred around education, heritage, community and spirituality, following an encouraging turnout of over 21,000 visitors on the opening day yesterday.
The day began as early as 7 am with the Payang Walk and Run, which took participants across the iconic Terengganu Drawbridge and Pantai Seberang Takir.
Adding to the vibrant morning atmosphere were a Bubur Asyura cooking competition and an Explore Race challenge involving students from higher learning institutions.
Interactive sessions are also scheduled at the main and mini stages, including a “Live Highway Traffic Feed” slot by the Works Ministry (KKR), a pocket talk on worker safety by the Human Resource Ministry and a sharing session by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) titled “Praying on a Chair: What’s the Right Way?”
The afternoon is expected to be equally lively, with educational and engaging segments such as a pocket talk by the Education Ministry on the DELIMa platform, and a session by the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry highlighting extraordinary cooperatives.
Later in the day, the Candat Sotong Carnival will be launched at the Pasar Payang jetty, featuring the flag-off of participants and squid jigging activities in Terengganu waters.
The highlight of the day is the Tautan Hati Ganu programme featuring popular nasheed group Rabbani, set to take place at 5 pm on the main stage.
The three-day event, themed “Pembangunan MADANI, Rakyat Sejahtera”, runs until Saturday and is targeting over 25,000 visitors.
It is organised by the Prime Minister’s Office through the Performance Acceleration and Coordination Unit, in collaboration with KKR and the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department.
