KUALA LUMPUR, July 8 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of National Unity has implemented 25 initiatives throughout May and June this year to strengthen the spirit of harmony and unity among the country’s diverse communities.
Its Minister, Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang, in a Facebook post today said the initiatives included ‘Fiesta Uniti’ at the Perak Museum, ‘Lagu Kita’ concert in Sabah, ‘Dariku Untukmu’ programme to encourage reading among students at Tamil national-type schools (SJKT), as well as Gawai Day and Kaamatan Festival at the ministry.
He said other initiatives included the Arkib@Sekolah programme, designed to deepen the students’ understanding and appreciation of the nation’s history.
According to Aaron, the initiatives focused on strengthening unity from the grassroots level and building a strong foundation for long-term integration and well-being in Malaysia’s multi-racial society.
“This commitment will continue to be reinforced in the coming months,” he said.
