Kedah Zakat Board Offers To Sponsor Putri Qisya's Education Up To Form Five

ALOR SETAR, July 8 (Bernama) -- The Kedah Zakat Board (LZNK) has offered to sponsor crash victim Putri Qisya Nur Izzat’s studies at Sekolah Zakat Kedah (Kedah Zakat Sponsored School) from Form One to Form Five.

Putri Qisya, 12, is the eldest and only surviving child of Mohamad Azim Izat Ishak, 32, and Nurul Hidayah Khadijah Razman Affendi, 31, who perished with their four other children when their car plunged into Sungai Korok early Saturday morning.

“Today, LZNK visited the home of the victims’ family. During the visit, LZNK also handed over a cash contribution of RM1,000 and a food essentials kit to ease the burden of the grieving family,” said LZNK in a post on its official Facebook page.

Also present during the visit were representatives from the Kedah Zakat and Waqf Management Centre, the Kubang Pasu Zakat Office, and the management of Sekolah Zakat Kedah.

LZNK said the initiative reflected its ongoing commitment to supporting those affected by hardships, especially in ensuring that the education of children from asnaf (eligible zakat recipients) families is secured for their future.
