KUALA LUMPUR, June 24 (Bernama) -- Popular singer Stacy Anam plans to hold a concert here following the success of her first major solo concert in her home state of Sabah last Saturday.
The ‘Aku Stacy (Menggegar Kota U)’ concert, held at the Sabah International Convention Centre in Kota Kinabalu, drew nearly 3,000 fans. Stacy thrilled the audience with a high-energy, emotional performance that lasted nearly three hours.
“This is just the beginning... we are planning to bring the concert to Peninsular Malaysia next. I’m confident we can shake Kuala Lumpur together too,” she said when contacted by Bernama.

Organised by Rhythm & Rhyme Entertainment in collaboration with U Mobile, the Sabah concert opened with ‘Pakai Buang’, followed by a string of popular hits such as ‘Cakap Ke Tangan’, ‘Not For Sale’, ‘Gilalah’, ‘Bosan’, and her new single ‘Menyala’.
Stacy, who is married to singer Akim Ahmad, surprised the crowd when she ‘flew’ across the hall whilst rendering ‘Khayal’, and moved the audience with her heartfelt renditions of ballads ‘Kisah Dongeng’ and ‘Pelangi Senja’.
Stacy told Bernama she also reprised her ‘Asmaradana’ performance, which she originally performed in a reality show, but with a new cultural twist through the use of ethnic-inspired costumes and background visuals.

She said the emotional highlight of the night was when she remembered her late brother Chaq who played a pivotal role in the early days of her career.
“I could feel his presence tonight — that gave me the strength to keep singing,” she said.
The concert was further enlivened by a special appearance by her husband Akim, who joined her for duets such as ‘Aku, Kau & Muzik’ and ‘Ritma & Rima’. He also performed his solo hit ‘Rampas’, which drew loud cheers from the audience.
