Fortegra Strengthens Leadership Team With Mark Rattner Appointment

KUALA LUMPUR, June 8 (Bernama) -- The Fortegra Group Inc (Fortegra), a global speciality insurer and part of DB Insurance Co Ltd, has appointed Mark Rattner as President.

Rattner previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer, Insurance, and brings a decade of leadership experience within the company to his new role.

Fortegra said the appointment reflects its continued investment in the people and partnerships that support long-term growth and profitability.

Its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Rick Kahlbaugh said Rattner's industry expertise and leadership have been instrumental in Fortegra's development.

“Mark has been central to building Fortegra into the company it is today. His industry experience, knowledge, and trade craft make him the right person for this role,” said Kahlbaugh in a statement.

Rattner has more than three decades of underwriting and insurance industry experience. Before joining Fortegra in September 2016, he spent five years at Houston International Insurance Group, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, where he established the company's professional liability division.

Prior to that, he served as Chairman & CEO of Terrapin Capital Holdings and was owner and director of Rattner Mackenzie Limited.

For more than 45 years, Fortegra, via its subsidiaries, has underwritten risk management solutions, offering a diverse set of admitted and excess and surplus lines insurance products and warranties.
