KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today, tracking the softer cash market.

The May 2026 contract slipped 2.5 points to 1,716.50, the June 2026 and September 2026 contracts fell 1.5 points each to 1,715.0 and 1,696.0, respectively, while the December 2026 contract was 1.0 point lower at 1,697.50.

Turnover surged to 46,855 lots from 13,089 lots on Friday, while open interest jumped to 77,678 contracts from 43,086 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI eased 4.17 points to 1,708.50 from Friday’s close of 1,712.67.
