Singapore Retains Top APAC Meeting Destination Ranking For 2026 - Cvent

KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 (Bernama) -- Cvent released its annual rankings of the top meeting destinations and meeting hotels in Asia Pacific (APAC), with Singapore retaining the top destination ranking for the eighth time and Hilton Singapore Orchard claiming the region’s top meeting hotel position for the first time.

The rankings are based on more than US$20 billion in global sourcing and request-for-proposal (RFP) activity through Cvent’s platforms in 2025, including activity on the Cvent Supplier Network, one of the world’s largest venue sourcing marketplaces. (US$1 = RM3.97)

In a statement, the industry-leading meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider said the data reflects sustained demand for in-person meetings and events across APAC despite softer economic sentiment.

According to the data, nearly 74 per cent of respondents reported up to a 20 per cent increase in in-person meetings, underscoring continued recovery in the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) sector.

The top five meeting destinations in APAC remained unchanged year over year, with Singapore followed by Bangkok, Sydney, Tokyo and Melbourne. Seoul rose one place to seventh, while Bali slipped to eighth.

Kuala Lumpur retained its position as the sixth-ranked meeting destination in Asia Pacific, reflecting the Malaysian capital’s continued appeal for regional business events and conferences amid sustained recovery in the MICE sector.

In the hotel rankings, Hilton Singapore Orchard climbed two positions to secure the top spot in APAC after placing in the top three for the past three years. Hyatt Regency Sydney ranked second, while Hilton Sydney rose six spots to third place.

ANA InterContinental Tokyo was the region’s biggest mover to rank fourth, while Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park rounded out the top five.

Cvent evaluated more than 14,000 cities and hotel properties globally, ranking destinations and venues based on criteria including room nights booked, RFP volume, awarded business value and response rates.
