KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today, in line with the underlying cash market. 

The May 2026 and September 2026 contracts fell 5.50 points each to 1,726.0 and 1,705.0, respectively, the June 2026 contract eased 4.50 points to 1,724.50, and the December 2026 contract slipped 4.0 points to 1,706.50. 

Turnover rose to 8,720 lots from 6,673 lots on Tuesday, while open interest improved to 39,388 contracts from 36,790 previously.

At 5 pm today, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) eased 9.58 points, or 0.56 per cent, to 1,717.69, from Tuesday’s close of 1,727.27.
