Pos Malaysia’s Ar-Rahnu Secures RM100 Mln Funding Facility From Maybank Islamic

KUALA LUMPUR, May 11 (Bernama) -- Pos Malaysia Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Pos Ar-Rahnu, has secured a short-term revolving credit-i facility of up to RM100 million from Maybank Islamic Bhd.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, Pos Malaysia said that the facility is intended for general corporate and internal group funding purposes.

“Pos Malaysia will execute a corporate guarantee of RM100 million in favour of Maybank Islamic Bhd in respect of the facility.

“The facility contains conditions, including maintaining Pos Ar-Rahnu as a subsidiary of Pos Malaysia throughout the financing tenure, as well as restrictions on payments of dividends or advances without prior consent of the financier. The aggregate level of facilities affected by these conditions is RM100.0 million,” it said.

It added that the facility is not expected to have any significant impact on the earnings per share, net assets per share, share capital and substantial shareholders' shareholdings of the company for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026.
