EarthDaily Secures US$1.2 Mln NRO Contract For Earth Observation Imagery
KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 (Bernama) -- EarthDaily Analytics (EarthDaily) has been selected by the United States (US) National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) to support the use of commercial multispectral Earth observation imagery under the Strategic Commercial Enhancements (SCE) Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO).
The global Earth observation company said the contract, valued at US$1.2 million, highlights the growing role of commercial providers in supporting US government mission requirements. (US$1 = RM3.91)
Its Chief Revenue Officer, Eric von Eckartsberg said the selection reflects a broader shift toward integrating commercially available, high-quality Earth observation data into operational decision-making.
“Our focus is on delivering consistent, trusted measurement that enables faster, more confident decisions in complex environments,” he said in a statement.
EarthDaily will provide scientifically calibrated multispectral imagery and remote sensing capabilities through modelling, simulation and data evaluation using the EarthDaily Constellation currently in orbit, alongside additional satellites scheduled for launch throughout 2026.
The company will also demonstrate end-to-end tasking, collection and product dissemination capabilities while responding to product ordering and delivery requests from the NRO and its partners.
The contract also represents a step toward establishing a scalable framework for future US government demand, positioning EarthDaily to support a wider range of mission applications as commercial Earth observation becomes increasingly integrated into national security operations.
The selection aligns with the EarthDaily Constellation, a next-generation optical Earth observation system designed to deliver daily global coverage across 22 spectral bands and support artificial intelligence-ready analytics for government and commercial users.
