KLCI Futures Close Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, May 5 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher in line with the steady performance of the cash market.

The May 2026, September 2026 and December 2026 contracts rose 3.5 points to 1,747.5, 1,729.0, and 1,733.5, respectively, while the June 2026 contract gained four points to 1,747.0. 

Turnover declined to 7,294 lots from 9,260 lots yesterday, while open interest narrowed to 38,479 contracts from 39,171 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose 7.66 points, or 0.44 per cent, to close at 1,747.43 from Monday’s close of 1,739.77.
