KLCI Futures Open Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, May 5 (Bernama) -- FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures opened lower on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives on Tuesday, tracking the decline in the cash market.

At 9.39 am, the May 2026 and September 2026 contracts lost 5.5 points each to 1,738.5 and 1,720.0, respectively. 

The June 2026 contract fell 6.5 points to 1,737.0, while the December 2026 contract decreased 7.5 points to 1,722.5.

Turnover stood at 2,449 lots, while open interest totalled 34,464 contracts.

After 50 minutes of trading, the FBM KLCI slipped 4.17 points to 1,735.60, from Monday’s close of 1,739.77.
