KPS Consortium's Subsidiary To Acquire Rawang Industrial Assets For RM45.5 Mln

KUALA LUMPUR, April 30 (Bernama) -- KPS Consortium Bhd’s (KPSCB) wholly-owned subsidiary, KPS Plywood Sdn Bhd, has entered into three separate sale and purchase agreements with Nautical Wealth Sdn Bhd (in liquidation) to acquire several properties in Rawang, Selangor, for RM45.5 million.

The properties are located at Taman Industri Nautical Rawang in Gombak, Selangor, comprising 16 units of four-storey semi-detached factories, 13 units of single-storey low-cost factories, and one parcel of land with a four-storey detached factory.

The agreements were entered into through the vendor’s appointed liquidator, Chong Chuan Long.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, KPSCB said the acquisition is for investment purposes.

“The acquisition is not expected to have any material effect on the group’s earnings per share, net assets per share, gearing, share capital or substantial shareholders’ direct and/or indirect shareholdings for the financial year ending June 30, 2026,” it said.

KPSCB added that its board of directors does not foresee any specific risks arising from the acquisition, other than normal market risks.

“The board of directors believes that the acquisition is in the best interests of the group,” it said, adding that the acquisition is expected to be completed within three months from the execution of the agreements.
