MBSB Strengthens Northern Presence With Relocated Kangar, Kulim Branches
KANGAR, April 30 (Bernama) -- MBSB Bank Bhd has strengthened its presence in northern Malaysia through the opening of its relocated Kangar and Kulim branches, reinforcing its commitment to improving customer accessibility and expanding service coverage across key growth areas.
Kangar branch was relocated to Kangar Jaya, while Kulim branch was moved to Kelang Lama Square.
In a statement today, MBSB said the two branches support the bank's ongoing effort to bring banking services closer to customers across retail, affluent, high-net-worth, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and corporate segments, while expanding access to Shariah-compliant financial solutions.
"The relocation of the Kangar and Kulim branches strengthens MBSB’s presence across two distinct markets, improving accessibility in higher-traffic areas while enhancing brand visibility and service coverage in northern Malaysia.
"Kangar supports greater community outreach and financial inclusion, while Kulim strengthens the bank’s position in a more commercially active and higher-growth area," it said.
MBSB said to mark the branch openings, it has introduced a limited-time offering available from April 20 to May 31 this year, which includes a Term Deposit-i rate of 3.78 per cent per annum for a 12-month tenure.
"Selected unit trust investment packages are also available during the promotional period, with a 25 per cent cashback reward on gross sales charges in the form of PrimeGold-i," it said.
Meanwhile, its group chief consumer banking officer, Usman Ghouse, said the bank's footprint in Kangar and Kulim reflects the strategic objective of facilitating consumer access and strengthening service delivery.
"These openings allow us to be closer to the communities and businesses we serve, whilst reinforcing our commitment to practical and relationship-led solutions that cater to financial progress across multiple customer segments," he said.
