Varia Unit Bags RM293.32 Mln Sub-contract Job In Johor

KUALA LUMPUR, April 20 (Bernama) -- Varia Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Pembinaan Teguh Maju Sdn Bhd, has accepted a letter of award from RSM Builders Sdn Bhd for a sub-contract valued at RM293.32 million.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, Varia said the contract involves the upgrading of the PSG024 plant in Pasir Gudang, Johor, into a regional sewage treatment facility. The works include the construction of sewerage pipelines and rationalisation works in the Sungai Kim Kim West sub-catchment

“PTM will handle the supply of labour, materials, equipment, and machinery for the design-and-build of the sewerage lines and conveyance system,” said the construction engineering company. 

The contract runs for 55 months, starting April 24, 2026, and is scheduled to be completed by Nov 30, 2030.

The job is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of Varia Group over the contract duration.
