AM Best To Present At Shanghai International Reinsurance Exchange Seminar

KUALA LUMPUR, April 13 (Bernama) -- Global credit rating agency, AM Best will deliver a pair of presentations as part of a half-day seminar with members of the Shanghai International Reinsurance Exchange (SIRE) on April 22, in Shanghai, China.

AM Best’s Singapore operations managing director and chief executive officer, Rob Curtis, and market development analyst, Judy Li, will lead the presentations titled “The Role of Credit Ratings in Reinsurance” and “How Credit Ratings Are Assigned: The AM Best Approach”.

In a statement, AM Best said the seminar sessions aim to share insights on global and Asia Pacific reinsurance trends, as well as the role of credit ratings in reinsurance arrangements.

Curtis has been with AM Best since 2022 and has extensive experience in Asia’s insurance markets, having previously held key roles at Hong Kong’s Insurance Authority and the International Association of Insurance Supervisors.

Meanwhile, Li joined AM Best in 2024 to promote a greater understanding of the organisation, its role in the insurance industry, and its offerings, including Best’s Credit Ratings and Best’s Performance Assessments for Delegated Underwriting Authority Enterprises.

The exchange’s general manager, Lei Zhao, will open the session with welcoming remarks, while the head of markets, Europe & East China, Zhuoying Huang, will moderate both sessions, each of which will conclude with a question-and-answer segment.
