Cloudera Advances Hybrid Data, AI Platform To Cut Costs, Boost Scale
KUALA LUMPUR, April 9 (Bernama) -- Cloudera has announced significant advancements to its hybrid data and artificial intelligence (AI) platform, aimed at helping enterprises modernise infrastructure, reduce costs and accelerate analytics and AI across their data environments.
The updates address growing pressure on enterprises to modernise while managing rising infrastructure costs, complex upgrade cycles and increasing operational risks.
By offering extended platform support through 2032 and a unified experience across cloud and on-premises environments, Cloudera provides greater stability and predictability for enterprise data strategies.
“Our customers no longer accept trade-offs. They want the flexibility of the cloud, the control of the data centre, and the ability to scale without disruption.
“This update delivers all three on a single, unified platform built for modern data and AI,” said Cloudera Chief Product Officer, Leo Brunnick in a statement.
The company said its platform enables organisations to scale across cloud and data centres without requiring data movement or disruptive migrations, reinforcing its focus on flexibility and operational efficiency.
Key enhancements include improved platform stability to reduce upgrade cycles and risk, as well as seamless modernisation across hybrid environments with synchronised updates for cloud and on-premises deployments.
The update also introduces new capabilities to enhance performance, flexibility, and data collaboration across modern data architectures. Automated optimisation of Apache Iceberg tables, powered by Cloudera Lakehouse Optimizer, accelerates query performance and reduces storage overhead.
Meanwhile, Cloudera Cloud Bursting allows organisations to extend on-premises environments into the cloud for on-demand elasticity without duplicating data or rewriting applications. Expanded data-sharing capabilities further enable secure access to live datasets across platforms while maintaining governance and data integrity.
Cloudera is showcasing these capabilities at the Iceberg Summit 2026, underscoring its focus on delivering scalable, cost-efficient and AI-ready data infrastructure for enterprises.
