K-Tech Partners Boardware On AI, BCI Hardware

KUALA LUMPUR, March 18 (Bernama) -- K-Tech Solutions Company Limited (K-Tech) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Boardware Intelligence Technology Limited (Boardware), becoming the exclusive hardware development and engineering partner for Boardware’s artificial intelligence (AI) and Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) product platform.

“By applying our engineering and production expertise to Boardware’s AI and neural technologies, we are moving beyond traditional electromechanical design into AI wearables and brain-computing interfaces.

“This collaboration positions us to participate in emerging areas of AI-enabled hardware and, we believe, strengthens our long-term growth profile,” said K-Tech Chief Executive Officer, Kenneth Kwok in a statement.

The partnership will see K-Tech apply its expertise in rapid prototyping, precision engineering, and production management to commercialise Boardware’s "Barco" ecosystem, which integrates neural-signal processing with high-performance hardware architecture to enhance Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).

K-Tech will lead the industrial design, hardware architecture and engineering of three flagship products within the Barco platform.

The products are Barco AR Glasses, an advanced wearable display that combines augmented reality with real-time AI data overlays; BarcoMind, a neural-interface hub that interprets bio-signals and converts them into AI commands; and BarcoEar, a biometric audio device that enables seamless voice-AI integration and adaptive environmental sound processing.

Powered by Boardware’s proprietary operating system, Barco OS, these devices will be optimised for low-latency neural data processing and an intuitive user experience.

The collaboration is expected to accelerate development of the Barco product line, with a phased market entry anticipated in late 2026.
